The site was created as a nonprofit project to create the largest possible number of buildings in 3D of Argentina within the three-dimensional mapping software called Google Earth. This is intended to promote tourism and encourage the development of software and digital services in Argentina.
The blog was created on Thursday, February 15, 2007 to publish the first 3D buildings with photo quality in Argentina. Over time inspired many people began to do the same, including myself and were given a space to allow the display of the achievements of each.
Today the blog is one of the world regarding the community of Argentine model, promoting Argentina 3d design and reporting of news not only to modelers Argentines but also throughout Latin America.
I’ve joined the site in July 2008 (just after a year without publications) to revive and continue promoting it by making use of social networks and the growing community of modelers around the country. I have given a fresh new design fits in with the new logo designed by Pablo Oneto, a new web address much shorter and easier to spread (ArgentinaEnGE.com.ar) and I opened the blog posts to all the 3D models that Google approved to appear on their maps, because previously they only published the models of those who wrote there. Thus became part of the whole community in Argentina and promoted the original mission of the blog: that tha 3D models appear on Google maps. Over time I have built other details that helped the cause, such as links to online tutorials and the publication of the dates of updates of 3D buildings, which are very useful for estimating the dates on which each one must check if your model was approved or not. This information began to be obtained directly from Google, then that I was named Super 3D Modeler.
In March 2010 were added by my suggestion other modelers from around the country who had shown their enthusiasm to the cause, turning the page on a completely federal site.
As our motto “You don’t have to be an expert modeler, it only takes desire and effort to cover Argentina with 3D buildings”. Unite!:
