The measures include:
24 hour security, 365 days a year.
Physical barriers preventing entry of unauthorized vehicles.
Perimeter fence.
Security cameras.
Biometric access authorization analysis of the eye.

No doubt that is a good change in a page that is rarely seen, but helps to maintain an ‘cleaner’ image of the company.

During those days there was a stir on Twitter about whether ‘the color communicates’ or not. And I must tell you that instinctively yes, so I’m thinking about changing the shading of the links on my blog in red (forbidden) to green (permitted), ha!. That isn’t really why, it’s just for fun, because we are not traffic lights, do you?. That is because a link is red does not mean that I will not click.

To explain better think about these examples: All organizations that promote ecology have a logo or symbol green. And why not in red for example? Because green is associated with nature. To give some examples, grass, trees and even the turtles are green, ha! In contrast, the red is associated with violence, that is, damaging and blood! But it also depends on each case, because we are comparing it to the ecology that is always going to be green, unless the plants and trees change their color, but I doubt that happens.

But if for example we take the opposite example where the red is used, and in abundant proportions is in the news or news channels, where the red do an emphasis in all its headlines. Does the CNN and more news channels in each country do not use red? Well, yes, and that’s why. Imagine it using green. It would not be the same.

Red is a color that catches our attention since millions of years ago when we develop the ability to distinguish it. In case you did not know we are one of the few living on the planet that have the ability to see it. You know why? The red allowed us to distinguish between mature and immature fruit from the trees.(<–Hey, I learned this on Discovery Channel!) Perhaps that is why when we came down from the trees and saw a gutted animal we wanted some fruit with legs and we tasted the fruit (a.k.a. the meat), and we liked it. So it will always draw our attention, or do we not eating fruits and meat?.

To cite another example, a little more modern: Compare a white web page from another black, blue or any color you can think of and tell me what you think is ‘more transparent’. Surely you will say that the white. Now think of a white web page and tell me the first that comes to your mind. I’m sure most would answer “Google”. Did you notice that ever since Google came to your page entirely white all trust in their results? Sure, you may say that are based on facts and not their color, and I share that thought, but then why all the companies copied the color white to represent that they are ‘reliable’ and ‘transparent’. Do not have something in common with our subconscious?

Online marketing experts surely know this, so they are implementing it. But they also know many other things that have nothing in common with colors. Putting a website that is painted a single color and no content is not going to make money, but it will do it if you write a compelling content. Knowing some of the colors should be a complement to everything you already know and is just a small part of what you study and learn, that not defined you as “licensed in color”, or the name you want to use. If so I would be, because I telling this to you. But is only a little common sense, nothing more. Do not make a complement the definition of a person, look for what is really important and emphasizing it. And then you can begin to complete with complementary, but only to give a little of color to the subject (Ha!), nothing more. Do not exaggerate.
